Six-Session Training for Multicultural Classroom Facilitation

Co-facilitated by staff from CRLT and The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR), this six-week seminar allows participants to both learn about and practice a range of effective facilitation strategies for use in U-M's multicultural classrooms. We focus on pedagogical techniques that productively engage student identity and experience in the learning process, as well as balance different voices and views. We will also discuss strategies for managing student resistance and conflict. Minimal preparation will be required for each seminar session. Participants will receive a certificate of training after completing all six sessions, which meet Wednesdays 3pm-6pm (10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20). By registering below, you will be enrolled in all six sessions.
