From the Instructional Technology Lunches, Winter Term, 2006“Blogs” (short for Web logs) provide an outline space for journaling and exchange of views. “Wikis” refer to websites open to contributions from readers (e.g., the Wikipedia). Both technologies are expanding rapidly in teaching, research, and publishing. This series of panel discussions will enable participants to explore the possibilities of using blogs and wikis in different academic contexts, see demonstrations of how U-M faculty use these technologies, and discuss options for getting started with or expanding on their use of blogs and wikis. Each session will stand on its own. Uses of Blogs and Wikis Wednesday, January 25, 12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m.
