AAC&U is a national association committed to advancing liberal education. The Liberal Education and America’s Promise section (http://www.aacu.org/leap/vision.cfm) is especially helpful for its look at “essential learning outcomes” of a liberal arts education.

Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA)

GLCA is a consortium of colleges in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The webpage contains links to local liberal arts colleges’ webpages and resources on the liberal arts.

Postdocs for U-M PhDs at Oberlin and Kalamazoo Colleges

As part of an exchange between the University of Michigan, Kalamazoo College, and Oberlin College, funded by the Mellon Foundation, applications are being accepted for two postdoctoral fellowships at both Oberlin College or Kalamazoo College (four fellowships total). Students from all fields in the humanities and humanistic social sciences are encouraged to apply. The positions are designed to support the fellows in developing both their teaching skills and their research programs.

U-M Intercampus Mentorship Program

This program offers U-M grad students and postdocs funding to meet faculty at nearby colleges and universities, work together on teaching or research, and learn about students and campus life at places other than U-M.
