GSI Teacher Training Program for Fall 2009
Training for new Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) is by invitation only from your department. If you have accepted a new GSI appointment for Fall 2009 you are REQUIRED to attend the all-day Teacher Training Program that is scheduled on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Bldg.
In addition to the training program on September 3, all new GSIs are REQUIRED to attend one of the Advanced Practice Teaching sessions with an active learning emphasis that are offered on the following days in the Chrysler Center:

This orientation is mandatory for all new GSIs in the College of Engineering. If you are unable to attend, you must contact Sharon Sansoterra, Coordinator of First-Year Programs at sharonsa@umich.edu or (734) 647-7114. You are advised that the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education, Dr. James Holloway, is the only person authorized to approve the alternate plan.
